About our privacy policy
Upflow Paper cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data we need for (improving) our services and treat the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the Upflow Paper website and the services accessed thereon. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 21/08/2025, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions, if any, this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data from misuse and what rights you have in relation to the personal data you provide to us.

Webshop software
WooCommerce
Our online store is developed with software from WooCommerce. Personal data that you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. WooCommerce is required by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.
WooCommerce hosting
Our web store is developed with software from WooCommerce, we have chosen GreenGeeks for our web hosting. Personal information that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. GreenGeeks has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. GreenGeeks is obliged by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.
Web hosting
GreenGeeks
We purchase web hosting and email services from GreenGeeks. GreenGeeks processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. GreenGeeks has adopted appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal information. GreenGeeks is bound to secrecy under the agreement.
GreenGeeks
We use the services of GreenGeeks for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. GreenGeeks does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
Payment processors
Stripe
For handling (part of) the payments in our online store we use the platform of Stripe. Stripe processes your name, address and place of residence data and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Stripe has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Stripe reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and as part of this to share (anonymized) data with third parties. Stripe shares personal data and information relating to your financial position with credit rating agencies in the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility). All of the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Stripe’s service for which it engages third parties. Stripe does not retain your data longer than permitted under the statutory time limits.
Reviews
Yotpo
We collect reviews through Yotpo’s platform. If you leave a review through Yotpo you are required to provide your name and email address. Yotpo shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, Yotpo may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Yotpo. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Yotpo has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Yotpo reserves the right to use third parties for the purpose of providing the service, for this purpose we have given permission to Yotpo. All the above mentioned guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which Yotpo engages third parties.
Shipping and logistics
PostNL
If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name,
address and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for the purpose of executing the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.
DHL
When you place an order with us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL to make the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and place of residence data with DHL. DHL only uses this data for the purpose of executing the contract. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to these parties.
IndiaPost
When you place an order with us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of IndiaPost to make the deliveries. This requires us to share your name, address and place of residence information with IndiaPost. IndiaPost uses this data only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that IndiaPost engages subcontractors, IndiaPost also makes your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and bookkeeping
MoneyMonk
For our record keeping and accounting we use the services of MoneyMonk. We share your name, address and residence information and details relating to your order. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored protected, MoneyMonk has taken the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use. MoneyMonk is bound to secrecy and will treat your data confidentially. MoneyMonk does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
External sales channels
Bol.com
We sell (part of) our articles through the platform of Bol.com. If you place an order via this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this information to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss and unauthorized use.
Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. That is, the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data – other than at your request – to contact you at a later time, we will ask you explicit permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality by virtue of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.
Data collected automatically
Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
Where appropriate, Upflow Paper may be required by law to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist within the possibilities offered by law.
Retention periods
We will retain your information for as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a forgetting request. This also means that we will not retain your data for more than two years from the last point of contact or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced as a result of your assignment.
Your rights
Pursuant to applicable Dutch and European legislation, as a data subject you have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and transcripts of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or for example by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of processed requests, in the case of a forgetting request we administer anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You have the right at any time to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

You always have the right to inspect the data that we (have processed) and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors holding this data, indicating the category under which we have stored this data, at the e-mail address known to us.

You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you, at the e-mail address known to us, copies or transcripts of all data about you that we have processed or have processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties. In all
likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, because the secure interconnection of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right of objection and other rights
You have the right to object, where appropriate, to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Upflow Paper. If you object, we will immediately stop the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies and/or copies of the data we process (or have processed) available to you and thereafter cease processing permanently.
